Pew Hispanic Center releases reports on growth in the foreign-born population and the employment of
native-born workers.
The Center analyzed Census Bureau data for the boom years of the 1990s and the subsequent recession and economic slowdown to determine whether there is a relationship between the growth in the foreign-born population and the employment of native-born workers 16 and older.
The analysis looked at the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The report is entitled "Growth in the Foreign-Born Workforce and Employment of the Native-Born" and can be accessed on the Center's website: www.pewhispanic.org.
The Pew Hispanic Center, a nonpartisan research organization, is a project of the Pew Research Center and is funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts.
